Elementary school counseling supports the development of the whole child by advocating for academic, social/emotional, career and postsecondary needs, and strives to develop life long learners and productive citizens.
Elementary school counselors are licensed professionals who hold a Master's degree in counseling. We teach Second STEP curriculum emphasizing learning, empathy, emotional management, problem solving and bullying. We also work with students one-on-one and in small group settings as well as provide referrals to community agencies, academic advisement and personal, social counseling.
