I am very excited to be back for my eighth year at Stukey Elementary as the music teacher! I am originally from Rockford, Illinois and received my Bachelors of Music Education Degree from Northern Illinois University specializing in voice. I previously taught music in another district for 8 years. I have been singing since I was age 5 and have had the opportunity to travel all over the world singing with different groups and even had the chance to perform with a few notable singers! In addition to teaching daily general music classes at Stukey, I also conduct our after school choirs, The Stukey Singers and The Stukey Notes and in the spring will be producing and directing our eighth annual full-scale Broadway musical, Frozen. I look forward each year to starting these programs at Stukey and seeing all the talent and potential that the students have. Music has always been a huge part of my life and I want to be able to pass on the valuable things that I have learned with my students! Outside of school I am the artistic director of the Northland Chorale, who have been a part of this community for over 50 years! I also love spending time with my family and traveling!
