Office Hours: I will have 2 hours of office hours each day.
Monday/Wednesday: 9-10 am and 1-2 pm.
Tuesday/Thursday: 8-9 am and 5-6 pm.
Friday: 10 am-12 pm (noon).
These hours I will be readily available by phone (please use my personal number) or to respond quickly to messages on Dojo. If you have any questions outside of these times please feel free to send a Dojo, I just may not be able to answer right away. I will however respond to all messages at my next available time.
As we’re all learning about this together please keep open communication! I miss each of your scholar’s and hope to be back in the classroom with them soon!
Hi first grade families! As we begin remote learning I will be keeping my website and class dojo up to date with any new information. Please check regularly on Dojo messages, our Class Story and my website for all information. As we begin, please keep in mind this is new for all of us. I am here to support you and your scholar in any way you need, but please have patience as we work through remote learning together.
Here are a few new policies that have come with remote learning.
Learning Platform: I will be using Seesaw as our remote learning platform. You will get a student code for your scholar to login and complete assignments. All assignments will be given and received through this website/app. Please keep in mind I will post assignments on a weekly basis and once the week is over, I will remove old assignments to create space for the next week.
Grading: All assignments for the week will be posted on Sunday evening, and removed the following Friday. Your scholar will have one week to complete the assignments for that week. All assignments will be graded as pass/fail and are due Friday afternoon. Here is what a passing grade looks like versus a failing grade.
Attendance: Attendance will be taken on a weekly basis. I will take attendance on Friday afternoon based on the number of assignments your scholar completes. In order to get all of the attendance points, your child needs to complete a minimum of 5 assignments per week.
My name is Bethany Trevino and this is my first year at Stukey Elementary! I'm so excited to meet all the students and work with the incredible staff at Stukey! I earned my degree in elementary education from Rivier University. I student taught in first grade and am so excited to be teaching first grade this year.
